Five Darc Award Nominated Projects Featuring Rosco
The annual darc awards - architectural, sponsored by darc and mondo*arc magazines in collaboration with Light Collective, are given to the best lighting design projects as selected by independent lighting designers from around the world. We are delighted that our products were integrated into the five projects below, all of which were shortlisted for the 2017 darc awards.
In an effort to create a new way for visitors to experience the architecture of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, Arup, UK used Rosco Custom Gobos to project “Light Sgraffito” onto the museum’s façade.
The Night-time Design Pilot project explored the lighting of the urban nightlife in the Getsemaní neighborhood of Cartagena, Colombia. Arup, in collaboration with Despacio and LSE, used Rosco e-colour+ Color Filters to design several distinct street light lanterns – with citizen input – that encapsulated the authentic value of a neighborhood and its inhabitants.
Mark your calendars! The 2017 darc awards will be presented on darc night, which will take place at MC Motors in Dalston, London on September 14th, 2017. Good luck to all of the nominees!
