Announcing The Evolution Of The Rosco Brand

For 106 years Rosco has been a company that sets out to exceed customer expectations. Through offering solutions like gobos, gels, scenic paint, dance floors, LED lights and much more, our mission is simple: To allow creative people to achieve their visions. With over a century of company history under our belt, we are extremely proud of all that Rosco has achieved.

logo4But taking a look in the mirror is about more than just patting ourselves on the back. It’s about making sure that we’re always putting our best foot forward. It’s about making sure that we’re offering customers the best possible experience – not just through our innovative products and excellent customer service, but also by ensuring that our brand continues to evolve at the same pace as the industries we serve.

logo5In the summer of 2015 we set out on a new journey to deliver that exceptional customer experience – this time, from the marketing side. The Rosco website is our single biggest customer touch point. It’s where many people meet Rosco for the first time. So we started asking some tough questions: Why were people using our website? What were they looking for – and more importantly, could they find it? The results showed that we were doing a fair job, but there were many areas where we could do better.

A little over one year later, after taking the customer feedback we’d received into account, we’re proud to launch the new rosco.com. Together with our agency partner, Solid Branding, we’ve developed an entirely new online customer experience. Our goals for the new website were to provide a space where customers could easily find the information they desired, in the language they speak, on the device they use most – all in an inspiring way. Whether you’re a cinematographer in Italy wanting to check out the specs on our Silk LED fixtures, a scenic artist in New York searching for inspiration in our Scenic Resource Gallery, or a Rosco dealer in Mexico looking for an up-to-date, Spanish data sheet for our Custom LitePad HO90 – you’ll find what you’re looking for inside the new rosco.com.

 

A New Rosco Logo!

logo1The evolution of our brand doesn’t stop at the website. Again with our partners at Solid Branding, we sought to evolve the Rosco logo by respectfully taking into account the rich heritage of the brand and the equity it has built over the years. Before we arrived at the final product, the logo design went through many refinements and iterations until we came up with a design that is clean, modern and reflects our continued progression into cutting-edge lighting and color technologies.

The new logo is just the beginning. Over time, you’ll see refreshed packaging, email marketing, advertising and more – all reflecting the evolution of the Rosco brand. The new website and logo designs were born out of respect for Rosco’s rich history of innovation and they both represent one thing that steadfastly remains – our drive to exceed our customers’ expectations and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Vice President, Marketing & Digital Experience : Lauren Proud has been with Rosco Laboratories since May, 2014. Coming from outside of the entertainment lighting industry, Lauren brings a unique perspective to all things Marketing at Rosco. Her background includes growing up in a household where her father was a Creative Director, and her mother was a Photographer and Illustrator’s Representative, so marketing was in her sights from an early age.
