Over the course of the last year, Rosco has made two big changes to our corporate identity with the release of our new website and the introduction of our updated iconic logo. Although these changes were definitely a step in the right direction for our brand, we felt as if we were missing a final component – a tagline that would concisely describe what we do here at Rosco.

How does one approach the creation of a tagline for a company that’s over 100 years old, with drastically diverse product lines and a global footprint? Our development process involved a lot of soul-searching and thinking about our customers and our business. We wanted a tagline that would be memorable, visionary and customer-focused. We sat with colleagues from around the world from different functional areas of the company and answered some tough questions about who we are and who we want to be. Ultimately, through many hours of work, it came down to a close look at our Mission Statement, our Company Values and especially the things that Rosco’s Chairman Stan Miller stands for: customer focus, quality products and, probably most importantly, enduring relationships.
While thinking about how to craft a meaningful-yet-short statement about our company, we had three principles at the front of our minds. We thought about the “collaboration, creativity, and achievement” that are in our company-DNA. Combining it all together, we developed several tagline ideas and, although there were a number of contenders, one tagline stood out from the rest.

Coming from outside of the entertainment lighting industry, Lauren brings a unique perspective to all things Marketing at Rosco. Her background includes growing up in a household where her father was a Creative Director, and her mother was a Photographer and Illustrator’s Representative, so marketing was in her sights from an early age. Having worked with iconic brands such as Campbell Soup Company and British Airways, Lauren is well-positioned to write for Spectrum about the dynamic world of Marketing at Rosco.
