Rosco put on quite the show at this year’s IBC trade show in Amsterdam. IBC has grown to become the most influential event for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of electronic media. With over 55,000 visitors and 1700 exhibitors from 170 countries, it can be tough to stand out in the crowd… here’s how we did just that.
IBC Booth Award
Over 1700 companies were exhibiting at IBC, all trying to catch the eyes of visitors. There were 3 awards given out for booth design, and Rosco was successful in winning one of those awards – The Most Innovative Shell Scheme Design. A dedicated team of judges toured the entire exhibition, looking carefully at every stand and choosing those which they regard as outstanding in terms of accessibility, clarity and image. Rosco came out on top!
Exciting New Products
Part of the success of our booth was the full-size SoftDrop that was hung and lit at the back of the stand. Having the London backdrop behind the products not only reminded our guests that we have a local office in London, but it also gave our guests an up-close view of the product to help them envision a SoftDrop on their next project.
With a resounding commitment to develop high-quality LED lighting products for the broadcast market, this year’s Rosco IBC booth featured our Braq Cube, LitePad Vector and Silk 210 LED lights – plus, our newest product: RoscoLED Tape.
What Caught My Eye
“What Caught My Eye” was a presentation given by former BBC Cameraman Christina Fox that featured her “must see” products of the show. Out of thousands of cameras, microphones, lights and other production tools featured at IBC, Fox selected eight products that she felt would make production teams more effective – and we are thrilled that Rosco’s Silk 210 was one of them! Fox’s “What Caught My Eye” session was an hour long talk presented to over 100 attendees. The Silk 210 portion of the presentation focused on her interview with David Amphlett – Silk’s Product Development Manager – that showcased some of the features of Silk 210. During the interview, David and Christina explained the importance of TLCI and how the Silk 210 exemplifies a high TLCI rating.
Rosco Illumination Event
A first-of-its-kind Rosco event was held at Amsterdam Studios on the first night of IBC. We played host to over 40 of our dealer partners. The event allowed Rosco dealers to get up-close and personal with products like SoftDrop, LitePad Vector and the Silk 210, while the Rosco sales, marketing and executive teams got the opportunity to entertain and engage our customers. The evening included presentations from our CEO, Mark Engel, along with product managers and our EMEA Sales Director, Cristian Arroyo. The audience not only learned about our products, but also got a view of the exciting new direction Rosco is taking as a company that is focused on developing high-quality production tools for the Image-Capture market.
