Happy Valentine's Day! If you are one of the lucky people who become engaged over this day of love, within minutes your mind will begin planning for your "special day".

Modern brides and grooms have so many choices in creating their special day. The possibilities are endless as to color schemes, dress styles, reception locations and even countless cake options.

Cakes, cakes, cakes, and more cakes.

No wonder Bridezillas are born out of the planning for this one day!

Are you already a Bridezilla?  Just for fun – take the Bridezilla quiz here.

Most wedding receptions represent a large sum of money. Mix together those large sums of money with a cultural demand for ‘that perfect day’ and you’ve created a situation with high expectations. It’s amazing how important the smallest detail can be - like finding the perfect shade of white in a non-scented candle or a great D.J. that gets everyone out on the dance floor having a fun time, including Great Uncle Joe doing the Cha Cha Slide.

The photos and videos you capture during the reception will be your pathway to these treasured memories.  So it shouldn’t be a surprise that a great way to make a wedding, or really any party, memorable is to make sure the lighting is integrated into the rest of your wedding décor.  The same color schemes you chose for your table linens can be found in our range of color filters for your lights.  Add to that some custom gobos projected all around, and you’ll be sure to impress everyone at how coordinated and customized the event was designed.

Whether it be the new couples monogram, the bride and groom’s wedding date or simple graphic designs that match the rest of the décor in the room, a custom gobo really takes wedding lighting design to another level.

Introducing Rosco’s Custom Wedding Gobo Webpage

Created so anyone can design a custom gobo to add that special individual touch to their wedding day lighting.

The process to create a design is pretty straight forward. While you can create almost any graphic in a gobo, the Rosco web page narrows down the choices a bit to help any couple create something unique to represent them.  By choosing from a selection of layouts, then choosing a font, graphics and borders, the process is practically painless. And most of the combinations will lead to a great looking final design.

Step 1 and Step 2 - choose layout and font, and enter your info

Step 3 and 4 - choose your graphic and border - voila, you are done!

When you’re done designing, you’ll see the final result of your choices on your monitor, which you can then save as a PDF and submit the design right from the web page to a Rosco dealer to order the gobo.

Easy right? Probably one of the easier decisions that a couple will have to make compared to the type of frosting on the cake, color of cummerbund for the groom’s men or worst of all – the design of the flatware!

To kick off our great new Wedding Gobo tool we are offering a prize. The first 5 brides (or grooms) that use the Rosco Custom Wedding Gobo web page to create their gobo design and order it through a Rosco dealer will get a $50 American Express gift card!

Just go through the steps, submit your design to a Rosco dealer and buy the gobo from them. Email a copy of your final design PDF along with a copy of the invoice from the Rosco U.S. dealer to spectrum@rosco.com subject: bridezilla prize . If you are one of the first 5, we'll notify you as a winner!

(Please note: only invoices from U.S. Rosco dealers are eligible for this program.)
